Take a look at the remaining caregiving locations where we work to provide in-home care services to those who need it.

JONESBORO

The Jonesboro Branch of Superior Senior Care provides home care referral services to Craighead and Poinsett Counties. Jonesboro, originally settled in 1815, is located in the northeast corner of the state of Arkansas on Crowley’s Ridge.
Jonesboro is one of two county seats in Craighead County and has a population of over 70,000. Arkansas State University is located in Jonesboro and provides significant economic and cultural influence. The University includes the Bradbury Art Museum, which features contemporary art, and the University Museum, which houses natural history and cultural exhibits.

If you enjoy the outdoors, the Craighead Forest Park includes a playground and a lake for fishing and great hiking trails. The Crowley Ridge Nature Center is a learning center with animals and exhibits, as well as self-guided trails throughout the park.

LITTLE ROCK

Little Rock has a branch of Superior Senior Care that provides at-home senior care referrals to residents in Grant, Lonoke, Pulaski, and White Counties. Little Rock is the state capital and county seat of Pulaski County. It is the largest city, with a population of 200,000 people.

Downtown Little Rock is the site of the Clinton Presidential Library. Located on the banks of the Arkansas River, the grounds include the Clinton Presidential Wetlands, which can be seen from boardwalks that traverse the park. The nearby River Market District is the home of shops, restaurants, nightlife, museums, and hotels. There are numerous museums in Little Rock, including the Purse Museum, EMOBA (the museum of Black Arkansans), the Historic Arkansas Museum, and the Museum of Arkansas Military History.

The Wildwood Park for the Arts is home to Little Rocks Botanical gardens but also is the site of theater and cultural arts. The Arkansas Art Center is noted for its collection of drawings by great masters. For history buffs, the Little Rock Central High School was the site of forced integration of public schools in Arkansas. The school is still in use and has a student body of 2500.

MCGEHEE

McGehee is a town of over 4000 people located in Desha County in the southeast of Arkansas. The McGehee Branch of Superior Senior Care provides at-home senior care referrals for seniors in Ashley, Chicot, Desha, Drew, and Lincoln County.

Named after the family that settled the area, the town grew when the railroad was built through McGehee. McGehee is located on the Mississippi River and is part of the Great River Road National Scenic Byway. The Rohwer Japanese American Internment Camp was located in McGehee during WWII. Over 8000 people were housed in the 500-acre Rohwer camp, which was surrounded by barbed wire fence and armed guards. The camp has been completely removed; however, it is commemorated by a museum located in the restored McGehee Railroad Station.

MOUNTAIN HOME

Mountain Home is a city of over 12,000 people and is the county seat for Baxter county. Located on the border with Missouri, the Mountain Home branch of Superior Senior Care provides home care referrals for seniors in Baxter, Boone, Fulton, and Marion counties.

Mountain Home is a destination for freshwater fishermen, as it is located within 20 minutes of three major rivers, the Buffalo, White, and North Fork Rivers. The Norfork Tailwater is world renowned for its cool water trout fishing.

The Ozark Mountains and the Twin Lakes provide ample opportunity for outdoor activities or even just a car ride to view the Fall colors. Mountain Home has become a popular vacation destination and also a popular retirement location.

PARAGOULD

Paragould is the county seat of Greene County and is located in the northeastern part of the state of Arkansas on the east side of Crowley’s Ridge. Paragould has a population of over 28,000 residents. This branch of Superior Senior Care serves Clay, Greene, Lawrence, and Randolph Counties with referrals for at-home senior care.

Close to two state parks, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, camping, boating, and fishing. The Collins Theater is a restored theater in downtown Paragould that features musical acts, stage performances, and even Broadway shows.

Just outside of Paragould is the Crowley Ridge Raceway. With a quarter-mile dirt track, there is racing every Saturday night in the summer months. Don’t miss the bronze replica of the Statue of Liberty located on the courthouse grounds. This is believed to be the oldest replica outside of New York.

PINE BLUFF

Pine Bluff is the county seat of Jefferson County. This branch of Superior Senior Care is providing in-home senior care referrals for seniors in Jefferson and Arkansas Counties.

The city of Pine Bluff has a population of over 42,000 and is located on the Arkansas river. The Arkansas River is a great bass fishing river, and Pine Bluff hosts multiple bass fishing contests throughout the year, giving Pine Bluff its nickname of the “Bass Capital of the World.”

Pine Bluff has a series of 13 road-trip-worthy murals painted on the walls of buildings throughout the city, depicting the history of the city. There are several museums in Pine Bluff, including the Arkansas Railroad Museum, the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame, the Pine Bluff-Jefferson County Historical Museum, and the Southeast Arkansas Arts and Science Center.
Pine Bluff is located on the site of several historic trails now collectively called the Arkansas Heritage Trail System. The nearby Gov. Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center includes an aquarium with native fish and displays of the animals and wildlife in the Delta region. There are several trails throughout the park, including two trails that are easy-access paved trails.

ROGERS

Rogers is the location of a branch of Superior Senior Care that provides at-home senior care referrals for residents of Benton and Carroll Counties. Rogers is located in Northwest Arkansas and is the home of the first Walmart. Rogers is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. The population is about 60,000; however, Rogers has worked hard to keep its small-town look.

The downtown storefronts have been restored to what they originally looked like, and the street was paved in the 1920s with cement covered with bricks and has been maintained all these years. Rogers has several museums, including the Daisy Airgun Museum and the Pea Ridge Civil War Battlefield Museum which is considered one of the most intact battlefields from the Civil War. 23,000 men fought in this pivotal battle to determine the fate of Missouri.

Throughout Rogers, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. The Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion provides a series of music concerts each summer, while the Arkansas Public Theatre provides the performing arts in downtown Rogers at the Victory Theatre. If you want outdoors activities, there are plenty of trails for hiking and biking, as well as water sports at Beaver Lake.

RUSSELLVILLE

Another branch of Superior Senior Care is located in Russellville. The Russellville branch provides senior care referrals to residents in Conway, Johnson, Logan (East), Pope, and Yell County. Russellville is the county seat of Pope County and has a population of about 29,000 people.

The only nuclear power plant in Arkansas is located in Russellville on Lake Dardanelle. Russellville is home to many outdoor activities, including Bassmaster tournaments on Lake Dardanelle.

The Center for the Arts is an 1800 seat theatre located on the high school campus, which not only is used by the students but also nationally recognized entertainment and theater productions. Russellville is the home of Arkansas Tech, with over 10,000 students enrolled.

Russellville is surrounded by four state parks: Lake Dardanelle, Mount Nebo, Mount Magazine, and Petit Jean State Parks, so there are plenty of hiking, biking and water sports available. In addition, there are several rivers that provide opportunities for kayaking and canoeing, as well as fishing. Russellville also hosts numerous festivals and events throughout the year, such as a chili cook-off, an art walk , a taste-of-the-town event, and a pickle contest.

TEXARKANA

The Texarkana office of Superior Senior Care provides at-home senior care referrals for residents of Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, and Sevier County. Texarkana is the county seat for Miller County and has a population of over 30,000. Texarkana is located just across the state line from its sister city of Texarkana, Texas.

The Texarkana Courthouse and Post Office (they’re one building!) is located on the state line between Texas and Arkansas. It is the only post office in the U.S. to be located on the state line and is believed to be the most photographed courthouse in the U.S. after the Supreme Court in Washington DC.

There are several museums in Texarkana, including Discovery World, Texarkana Museum of Regional History, and the Four States Auto Museum, featuring 24 automobiles on a rotating schedule. Cars are changed out every three months.

There are many trails for hiking and biking in the city parks. If you are a fisherman, try bass fishing on Millwood Lake. The 1894 City Market is a great place to visit, as it houses the Gallery, where you can view or purchase southern art. The building itself is worth seeing, as it is a restored grocery warehouse.

WARREN

The Warren office of Superior Senior Care offers at-home care referrals to residents of Bradley, Cleveland and Dallas Counties.  Warren has a population of 6000 people and is the county seat of Bradley County.

The Bradley County Courthouse is the centerpiece of Warren. Surrounded by brick paved streets, the courthouse was built in 1903 and features a clock tower bell that tolls each hour. The courthouse, along with nine other buildings in Warren, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Warren is the site of the annual Pink Tomato Festival. One of the oldest annual festivals in Arkansas, the first celebration of the pink tomato was in 1956. The South Arkansas Vine Ripe Pink Tomato has the distinction of being Arkansas’ state fruit and also state vegetable.

The Arkansas Motorsports Park in Warren offers the unique opportunity for the adventuresome to rent a high speed go-kart and race on the track. There are also scheduled races for the enthusiast to watch.

If you like the outdoors, the entire eastern side of Bradley county is bordered by the Saline River, which is known for its great bass fishing. The Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge is in the southern part of the county and is a great place for birding. The bald eagle and the previously endangered red-cockaded woodpecker, along with other native and migratory birds, have been sighted.

WEST MEMPHIS

Located directly across the Mississippi River from Memphis, Tennessee, the West Memphis office of Superior Senior Care provides at-home senior care referrals to residents of Crittenden County. Southland Park Gaming & Racing Center features greyhound racing as well as the casino. The Riverside International Speedway is the oldest continually running oval dirt tracks in the state and one of the oldest in the U.S.

West Memphis is the home of KWEM Radio, where musicians including Johnny Cash, BB King, Scotty Moore, and others paid $15-$20 to perform on the radio. The station is now owned and operated by the Arkansas State University Mid-South.

The Mississippi River forms the entire eastern border of Crittenden County, and one of the best ways to enjoy this delta region is by traveling on the great River Road National Scenic Byway. Big River Crossing is a mile-long pedestrian and biking bridge over the Mississippi River connecting West Memphis and Memphis. It is free and open daily. West Memphis is also part of the Arkansas Heritage Trail System with the Butterfield Overland Mail Route and the Trail of Tears located here.
